THE IDEAS BEHIND THE WORLD

Built around possibility.

The principles that shape the beings, powers and shared world of Orb Fighters.

01

Living orbs

Each fighter is a solid, opaque living orb with its own colour, two simple eyes and one upper-side sigil. Power comes through body motion, without limbs, mouths or pupils.

02

One energy, seven fundamentals

Glow powers gravity, electromagnetism, strong cohesion, weak change, spacetime, life and mind, and manifestation. Styles combine these foundations rather than inventing separate physics.

03

Matter has a source

Without manifestation, a fighter uses matter already in the world. TERRA raises existing stone; BLAZE heats matter into plasma. Each orb can summon one bound artifact of a special material.

04

Motion leads the power

Authored arcs, anticipation, held poses and follow-through give moves their feel. Element forms follow the body; shared physical rules decide the consequences.

05

Bright, colourful, readable

Lit squares are vibrant and inviting, with realistic materials, lifted shadows and expressive colour. Big effects keep a clear focal action. Detail supports identity rather than burying it.

06

Eyes and power indicators

Eyes lead attention and show focus, strain and fatigue. The sigil, pattern veins, core glow, charge aura and ground response answer the same power state.

07

A universal sandbox UI

Direction chooses a move, holding controls charge, aiming sets placement and a flick shapes the release. Quick reactions, lock-on, a technique workshop and presets share one layout for every fighter.

08

A world that remembers

Builds and traces persist. Clean reclaims eligible creations, Keep protects chosen builds from cleaning, and the saved world carries their history.

09

Craft is tested on screen

Short films are reviewed for motion, eyes, effects, texture, camera and composition. Thumbnail, squint, silhouette, pause and share tests help judge whether a scene is compelling.

10

Gameplay is tested by playing

Recorded inputs verify real outcomes, and hands-on play checks responsiveness, readability, camera comfort and fun. A successful build alone is not a finished game.
